Image Processing Algorithm Engineer

【Job Responsibilities】

1. Develop and optimize traditional image processing algorithms for industrial visual inspection systems, including filtering, edge detection, feature extraction, image registration, etc., to meet high-precision inspection requirements of AOI equipment.

2. Design image preprocessing and enhancement algorithms based on optical imaging principles to improve the recognition accuracy and robustness of target objects.

3. Cooperate with application engineers to complete engineering implementation and deployment of algorithms, and resolve stability issues of algorithms in actual production.

4. Research and improve algorithm efficiency, optimize code running performance, ensure inspection speed meets tact time requirements of production lines, and adapt to high-speed inspection workflows of AOI equipment.

【Job Requirements】

1.Education & Major: Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Computer Vision, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Automation, Electronic Information or related disciplines.

2. Work Experience: 1–3 years of algorithm development experience in industrial vision or related fields (such as precision manufacturing, automated inspection). Candidates with experience in AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) equipment or system development are preferred; those with semiconductor inspection project experience are highly preferred.

3. Professional Skills: Familiar with basic optical imaging principles as well as common traditional image processing algorithms including image preprocessing, segmentation and feature extraction.  Proficient in Halcon; familiarity with C# or C++ is a plus.

4. Core Competencies:

4.1 Strong comprehension and problem-solving capabilities; able to independently analyze difficult defect cases encountered on-site for AOI.

4.2 Strong sense of responsibility; guarantee the quality and stability of algorithm code, and be accountable for the accuracy of AOI inspection results.

4.3 Excellent cross-team communication skills; work closely with software, application and production teams to jointly optimize AOI inspection solutions.

4.4 Able to adapt to project requirements and accept necessary business travel for on-site joint debugging and testing, including deployment and tuning of AOI equipment at customers’ production lines.
